ABOUT TUSHA LAB

The Root of Intelligence

Tusha comes from Tushen—Hausa for "root" or "foundation." We're building the foundational intelligence layer for enterprises in emerging markets.

OUR STORY

Tusha Lab was founded in Lagos, Nigeria with a simple observation:
The world's most advanced AI is being built for the world's most advanced economies.

But the hardest, most valuable problems—the ones with the most human impact—exist in emerging markets. Telcos serving hundreds of millions. Banks reaching the unbanked. Enterprises digitizing entire industries.

These organizations don't need research demos. They need AI that works in production—in environments with unreliable connectivity, multilingual populations, cost constraints, and legacy infrastructure.

So we built a lab to solve those problems.

Tusha Lab is not an AI company that happens to work in Africa. We're an African AI company building for the world's next billion users.

OUR MISSION

Make advanced artificial intelligence ubiquitous, accessible, and usable for businesses in emerging markets—so they can solve their hardest operational problems.

OUR VISION

Become the default AI infrastructure layer for enterprises in Africa and emerging markets globally.

Not tools. Not demos. Infrastructure—embedded, indispensable, and compounding in value.

THE LAB MODEL

Tusha Lab operates at the intersection of research and product.

How we work

Research serves product

We solve problems that ship, not problems that publish

Production is the test

Lab success = deployed, working, measurable

Local-first

Built for African constraints from day one

Open where it helps

We share insights that advance the ecosystem

WHAT WE BELIEVE

01

Real problems over cool demos

We measure success by enterprise outcomes, not benchmarks.

02

Local context is non-negotiable

You can't fine-tune your way to understanding. You have to build here.

03

Speed compounds

Ship fast, learn faster. Our velocity is our moat.

04

Operators, not tourists

We live the infrastructure constraints we solve for.

05

Build for the next billion

Africa and emerging markets are the future—we're building for it now.
